THE ROLE:

Reporting to and supporting Anjalee Thompson, Founder, Executive Recruiter & Trainer at TRS, this role will be responsible for all aspects of research and recruitment within a thorough and defined search process. The Executive Recruiter will conduct in-depth candidate and company research/target lists using online tools/resources as well as cold calling into companies, identify and pitch opportunities to prospective candidates by phone, conduct phone/skype interviews and/or qualifying calls with potential candidates and develop search related materials including candidate evaluations, reference reports, target lists and various client documentation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Using a thoughtful and systematic approach to attract the best talent in the industry, research and identify appropriate prospective candidates and sources from relevant organizations and create detailed spreadsheets/target lists for every search assignment
  • Contact and capture the attention of gainfully employed prospective candidates through a creative and informative sales technique (recruiters are sales people who sell job opportunities)
  • Assess and qualify potential candidates against the search criteria to ensure they possess the right behaviours, experience and cultural fit
  • Prepare candidate evaluations once the candidate has been assessed and qualified
  • Conduct reference reports for finalist candidates
  • Stay in constant communication with the Founder and Executive Recruiter & Trainer and keep her informed of all relevant search activity at all times
  • Monitor industry and knowledge management trends while keeping up to date with new information, tools and services

The successful candidate will receive comprehensive training for all of the above.

QUALIFICATIONS & CORE BEHAVIOURS:

  • A passion for the executive search/recruitment business; recruitment experience is ideal but will train a person who is hungry to learn and has the right attitude from a similar industry (i.e.: travel agents, customer service agents)
  • Exemplary discipline and project management skills with the ability to work well independently and remotely. This is predominantly a work from home opportunity
  • Resourceful and a creative thinker with a strong ability to get things done at a high level
  • Tenacious, inquisitive and a problem solver; a sleuth who can overcome obstacles and find the right solutions
  • Proficient working with online recruitment tools, database search engines, creating Boolean links, manipulating data on the internet and sorting through appropriate online resources
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, Excel, Word; must be extremely IT savvy
  • Outstanding judgement with flawless attention to detail
  • Understands the importance of and is open minded to “selling opportunities” to gainfully employed potential candidates
  • Effective time management skills; able to meet strict deadlines from demanding clients with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities An exceptional level of professionalism in verbal and written communication
  • A true self-starter who is proactive, energetic, fast-paced with a sense of urgency
  • A hard worker with an exceptional work ethic who likes to learn
