Anjalee exudes passion and her warm and engaging style compliments her natural and authentic ability to connect with people and build instant rapport. Capturing her audience and creating a comfortable environment for people to share information is an innate talent. With people being the spotlight of the recruiting industry, Anjalee made the keen decision to pursue a career in executive search in 2000.

At Heidrick & Struggles, Anjalee was the sole researcher for Canada who identified candidates and delivered information across all industry sectors. As the research function evolved, Anjalee was chosen to be the Knowledge Manager, Canada and was part of a global initiative to restructure the research process. She was selected to assist in the training and development program at the newly created Knowledge Management Center in India.

As the Recruitment Manager for Canada’s largest private search firm, The Bedford Consulting Group, Anjalee was responsible for successfully putting a research department in place while building, mentoring and managing the research team. Anjalee and her team promptly researched and identified top quality candidates and information on mid to senior level searches.

Motivated by career progression and continuous learning, Anjalee became the Director of Recruitment at Rouse Resources Executive Search. Her role evolved to include project management and execution where she identified, qualified, interviewed and presented top talent. Anjalee’s thoroughness, commitment to excellence and stellar judgment enabled her to successfully close many challenging mid-management searches. This was an entrepreneurial environment where Anjalee had to be very creative and do a lot with limited resources. She also spearheaded the training and development initiatives for the recruitment team and was a coach and mentor.

Working for an organization that valued cultural fit was important to Anjalee and her role evolved as the Director of Recruitment and Consultant at Waterstone Human Capital. As a member of the leadership team, Anjalee developed, trained and managed a high performing team and was responsible for the recruitment department and strategy. She continued to build relationships and enhance her ability to acquire and develop pertinent candidate information and industry intelligence. Anjalee owned the full cycle recruitment process on senior management and executive level searches and had direct client management exposure. She was involved in refining the company’s “Recruit4Fit” process to ensure that every candidate placement not only had the right skills and qualifications, but also possessed the right behaviours that aligned with the corporate culture.

Anjalee is highly driven, collaborative and results oriented with an entrepreneurial spirit. This spirit inspired her to start her own recruiting firm called Thompson Recruiting Solutions in 2015. Anjalee has learned from the best leaders in the industry and has mastered the ability to apply the perfect combination of urgency, quality and recruitment expertise to her search process. Anjalee has outstanding judgement and takes pride in unveiling and matching the right leader with the right organization. She also understands that every company has a different culture and ensures that the perfect cultural fit is achieved on every search. Over the years, she has developed unique best in class practices and creative recruiting techniques that have enabled her to become a proven and dedicated executive recruiter.
